The Litepanels Brick Bi-Color on-camera LED light is the successor to the MiniPlus, the company said, offering a comparable luminance output of 100W tungsten with a weight of 306 g., a 36-degree beam angle, and IP 65 water resistance.
The Brick can illuminate at up to 1060 lux from a distance of five feet with a 16.5 watt power draw, Litepanels said.
The Brick will be available by itself or in a One Light Kit that also includes a half-white diffusion gel, a Manfrotto 244 Micro articulating arm, a six-foot international power supply, a 60-degree honeycomb and a soft diffusion frame, and a waterproof hard case. It can be powered by D-Tap from a camera via a three-foot Power Tap cable.
Litepanels said the Brick, which provides daylight and tungsten, is flicker-free at all frame rates and shutter angles with no visible color shifting.
"Incorporating the Brick with the latest in LED technology led to extremely positive preliminary feedback," said Litepanels Product Marketing Manager Alan Ipakchian in a prepared statement. "Just like the MiniPlus, the Brick is designed to be a versatile on-camera LED, so I am eager to see what creative users find for this product."
The Brick Bi-Color LED light is expected to ship at the end of October, the company said.
