Leader Instruments, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leader Electronics Corporation, Yokohama, Japan, announces two new options for its LV7390 rasterizer. These comprise full 4K signal measurement capability plus a plug-in digital audio module providing up to 16 channels of de-embedded SDI audio which can be viewed on screen and output as discrete AES3 feeds. Both options will be introduced and demonstrated at the 2016 NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-21.
The LV7390 is a 3G/HD/SD-SDI rasterizer which can be used to monitor up to four sources at the same time. Compatible with 3G/HD/SD-SDI, and now optionally 4K, the unit can also monitor up to eight channels of embedded audio as standard. The instrument incorporates full-resolution 3G/HD-SDI and DVI-I rasterized outputs which allow detailed video and audio measurements to be checked on a separate monitor in full 1920 x 1080 HD resolution.
Waveform, vector, picture, audio and SDI status can be viewed full screen or in a multi-display. The multi-display layout is user-customizable and can be configured with a standard USB mouse, then saved for fast recall. 60 user-definable presets are standard. These can be labeled and displayed on-screen. The LV7390 can also be controlled remotely using a USB mouse.
A screen capture function allows the LV7390 operator to save the displayed image and measurements as a BMP file on removable USB memory. This feature can be used for matching cameras or documenting a shot for purposes such as continuity or technical trouble-shooting.
The integral Leader CINELITE® feature allows the user to measure luminance levels at up to three different points in a scene. CINEZONE® uses false colors to indicate luminance levels in a scene and is particularly suited to green-screen chroma-key virtual-set alignment.
The LV7390 Viewfinder option provides separate SDI inputs which can display signals from up to four cameras, or the camera menu. This feature allows camera operators to monitor the settings of remotely located cameras, from a studio control room or mobile production truck. Ethernet connectivity allows remote control via an internet or extranet connection. The LV7390 supports TELNET, FTP, HTTP, and SNMP protocols.
