AJA Video Systems announced a new v2.2 firmware update that introduces a host of performance improvements for its IP Mini-Converter receivers, including new UltraHD support up to 50p for IPR-10G2-HDMI and IPR-10G-HDMI, as well as Reference Input support for IPR-10G2-HDMI and IPR-10G2-SDI.
New UltraHD support for IPR-10G2-HDMI and IPR-10G-HDMI at high frame rates up to 50p is targeted at helping production facilities fully maximize 10GigE infrastructures. Monitoring applications benefit from increased raster size, including multiviewers where UltraHD image fidelity is required for optimal image quality when displaying several source video signals coming in over IP on a single screen.
“Broadcast customers worldwide are demanding top-tier workflow solutions that support UltraHD for delivering the highest quality content to global audiences, and we are constantly improving our solutions to meet the highest industry standards,” said Nick Rashby, President, AJA Video Systems. “Upgrading our IPR HDMI Mini-Converters meets even the most rigorous demands from European and Asian markets that regularly require high resolution and high frame rate solutions at UltraHD 50p.”
Additionally, new Reference Input support for IPR-10G2-HDMI and IPR-10G2-SDI provides users with the ability to lock the local baseband output to the timing of the baseband environment at the destination. The Tri-level Reference Input for both devices also has the ability to function as a PTP source, offering an affordable option for users with small network setups.
