PHABRIX, a provider of test and measurement solutions, has supplied three additional Qx rasterisers to NEP UK’s inventory for its OB trucks and flypacks, for use at high profile events including Wimbledon and the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
“We’ve been using PHABRIX test and measurement solutions for around four years,” said Rob Newton, director - Engineering & Technology, NEP UK & Ireland. “We originally installed them when we were switching from traditional waveform monitors to rasterizers; we were doing more and more 4K work and PHABRIX was the obvious choice to ensure fast and reliable media analysis. The Qx is a compact and cost-effective, yet extremely comprehensive solution and its flexibility to work across IP, 4K and HD-SDI is fantastic.”
Qx is the world’s first fully flexible rasteriser for hybrid IP/SDI analysis and video/audio monitoring, offers the latest hybrid IP/SDI test and measurement tools for environments that require 4K/UHD (12G/6G/3G-SDI), HD-SDI as well as SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2022-7, ST 2059 (PTP), AMWA NMOS IS-04, IS-05 and ST 2022-6 formats.
NEP UK now has Qx rasterisers installed in 10 trucks and five flypacks, supporting projects in both IP and 4K, including at Wimbledon 2019. Four of the flypacks will be travelling to Japan for the 2019 Rugby World Cup starting later this month.
Phillip Adams, MD, PHABRIX, said, “With this rapidly evolving technology landscape, reliable and future-proofed test and measurement solutions have never been more important. PHABRIX and NEP UK have a fantastic long-standing relationship and we are delighted NEP UK has once again selected our Qx rasterisers as they continue to stay ahead of the curve.”
