Presteigne Broadcast Hire is expanding its PTZ camera offering with 45 new 4K cameras from Panasonic. The company said it expects the cameras to be used on unscripted and factual productions. The AW-UE100 integrated pan/tilt/zoom camera supports a variety of IP transmission protocols, including high-bandwidth NDI, high-efficiency NDI|HX and Secure Reliable Transport (SRT).
The PTZ camera has a newly-designed direct drive motor for smooth pan and tilt movement and offers installation flexibility, low noise and high-resolution image capture.
The cameras will supplement PBH’s existing range of Panasonic rental stock, including AW-UE150 and AW-HE130 cameras, as well as AW-RP150 camera controllers.
“The small form factor and high quality imaging has radically changed the way that film-makers work, opening up a range of new creative possibilities,” said Adrian Young, Presteigne Broadcast Hire CEO. “Using this more discrete type of camera, there is a greater ‘fly on the wall’ feel to the footage as documentary subjects quickly become far less self-conscious and as a result we see demand continuing to grow.”
