Chyron has released PRIME Live Platform 4.2. This powerful, broadcast-grade platform offers a full suite of production capabilities including live graphics, production switching, video walls and scaling, touchscreen, branding, venue control, and augmented reality. The flexible, scalable platform is deployable on-prem, in the cloud, or in a hybrid architecture.
"With this release of the PRIME Live Platform, we have really focused on usability requests from our longtime customers," said Louis Garvin, Chyron vice president of product management. "Chyron is known as a leader in graphics, and this release has significant enhancements to PRIME CG."
Users will benefit from a brand-new Bindings View that allows them to review all the logic, assets, and parameters associated with a scene for easier, faster troubleshooting and management of complex scenes. For graphics playout functionality, this release includes the ability to add an X-keys object to any scene and assign parameters, triggers, and even command sequences to a single key.
The PRIME Live Platform also now offers X-keys control on the switcher side as well. Additional switcher enhancements include GPI out tally control and active keyer indicators, helping operators achieve smoother, more error-free transitions. Additionally, overall ease of use is enhanced with the ability to recall individual user switcher settings. On the audio side, PRIME Switcher now offers configurable audio delay, enabling easy synchronization of audio and video feeds.
Chyron is committed to an environment-agnostic platform. The PRIME Live Platform includes I/O support for SDI HD and 12G, NDI, and IP 2110/2022, as well as streaming protocols. Numerous file formats and clip codecs are supported too, and this release adds support for H.265.
The release also features powerful, easy-to-use chroma keying, in both the graphics and switcher modules of the platform. PRIME expands the traditional use for chroma keying, allowing its application not only to a single image or video stream, but also to groups of objects, or even a single face of an object.
"Our loyal customers are very important to us," said Mathieu Yerle, Chyron senior vice president of strategy. "We continue to develop and enhance the PRIME Live Platform at a rapid pace and look forward to adding more new features in the near future."
