Sony has recently released an online camera simulator that allows you to get comfortable with the menu system of the VENICE 2. The tool is now available for free on the manufacturer’s website and lets you choose between the 8.6K and 6K sensor options.

If you don’t work at a rental house and rarely have the opportunity to put your hands on expensive equipment, online menu simulators are a great way to start gaining experience with a new camera system.

Sony had already introduced a camera menu simulator for the original VENICE. Now, they have developed the same helpful tool for its successor. Before accessing the actual menu structure, you need to pick up a sensor size: 8K or 6K. Both options come with the Full-Frame (CBKZ-3620F) and Anamorphic (CBKZ-3620A) licenses installed.

Once inside, you will face the main controls and information displayed on the 1st AC side of the camera. From there, you will be able to navigate through the menus, change camera settings, and discover the system with a touch-every-button approach. Although some features are not available, such as the recording function or some custom keys, it will actually feel like having the camera in your hands.

The Sony VENICE 2 Camera Menu Simulator is an entirely free tool and is available on the manufacturer’s website. You can access it from a desktop browser, or even from smart devices if you’re out on the field. Have fun and happy experimenting!
