Panasonic unveiled firmware update v.1.66 for PTZ camera AW-UE160. Firmware v.1.66 increases the ST2110 compatibility, advances Pan / Tilt positioning with 3rd party devices and AUTO IRIS features, fixes known issues and improves the operational stability of the camera.
   

Firmware update v.1.66 for PTZ camera AW-UE160 includes:

1. The MoIP-compatible formats have been expanded to include:

1) Support for ST2110 JPEG-XS TX (MAIN/CROP) and RX (RETURN)

2) Compatible formats (1080p60, 1080p59.94, 1080p29.97, 1080i59.94, 1080p50, 1080i50, 1080p25, 1080p29.98, 1080p24) for ST2110 RX (RETURN) have been added.

* ST2110 TX (MAIN/CROP/MONI) is already supported

** In case of JPEG-XS mode, following function does not work.

・BAR ID

・WAVE FORM

・High bandwidth NDI

・Only 1 system works for TX (picture) ( MAIN or CROP)

*** 720p system format and Interlace (1080/59.94i, 50i) is not possible to select in JPEG-XS(TX/RX) mode.

**** JPEG XS signal phase is delayed (12 lines) against Genlock or PTP (SDI signal output as well). It may not be possible to receive JPEG-XS depends on input video phase in JPEG-XS RX mode.

2. "Cyclic Synchronous Position Control" function has been added to enable more precise P/T control.

This function provides more precise PAN/TILT control from external device.

- This is UDP communication (not legacy TCP communication)

- Command timing is based on Camera side (current timing is Controller side)

- Command sequence depends on Cycle time

3. "PRESET PTZ SYNC MODE" has been added to allow for simultaneous completion of PTZ movements during preset playback.

4. The optional measurement range (WINDOW) of AUTO IRIS can be set.

5. SFP+ port NMOS control has been improved to operate without the need for LAN connection.

6. When using autofocus, it may take some time to focus.This problem has been fixed.

7. When using High Bandwidth NDI, the NDI stream may stop. This problem has improved.
