AJA announced the OG-C10DA, a new, hot-swappable openGear distribution amplifier card for analog signals. Featuring eight BNC outputs plus one BNC output with an option for loop out or processing, the device supports NTSC or PAL analog video, bi-level and tri-level video reference, AES3-id digital unbalanced audio, and LTC signal type distribution.
Built-in compatibility with Ross DashBoard software makes remote OG-C10DA configuration and control intuitive so production teams can easily distribute multiple copies of an incoming signal and extend the composite video content with gain adjustment for long cable runs where needed.
“The openGear platform has become a pipeline favorite among broadcast and AV professionals for its ability to reduce the gear footprint in tight spaces and for its remote control capabilities so we’re excited to deliver on customer requests for an openGear version of our C10DA this IBC,” said AJA President Nick Rashby. “OG-C10DA unlocks all the popular features and performance resiliency of our C10DA distribution amplifier within the openGear ecosystem, and with more outputs, giving production teams a simpler way to grow as new equipment must be added to video workflows.”
Ideally suited for broadcast facilities and trucks, as well as for live event production, OG-C10DA expands the options for analog signal distribution while simplifying infrastructure needs. Paired with AJA’s OG-X-FR openGear rackmount frame, OG-C10DA can be used alongside an AJA GEN10 HD/SD/AES sync generator as source input that can be distributed to any video devices that need a Ref In signal. It can also be leveraged to distribute AES3 or LTC.
OG-C10DA feature highlights include:
- 1x BNC input and 9x BNC outputs.
- Control via DashBoard software or local dip switches.
- Passive loop-thru default when power isn’t detected; acts as standard DA output when powered.
- Support for NTSC, PAL black-burst, or tri-level analog video; AES3-id (digital unbalanced audio); and LTC.
- Selectable input – external BNC, frame input Ref 1, or frame input Ref 2.
- Monitor status and input signal type via openGear Dashboard on Windows®, macOS®, or Linux®.
- 2.5 watts max per card.
- Compatible with OG-X-FR, OG-3-FR, and DFR-8321 openGear frames.
OG-C10DA will be available in October 2024.
