Panasonic announced firmware update for pan tilt zoom camera AW-UE160. It resolves issues with the zoom tracking function, enhances NDI functionality and CSP Control, improves overall UE160’s usability.
Firmware Update AW-UE160 v2.01 includes:
1. The problem with the zoom tracking function, which was specific to the version 1.99 (published on December 23, 2024), has been fixed.
2. The functional specifications required for Auto Framing function have been added and updated.
The Auto Framing function will be available when using the next version of Media Production Suite Ver. 1.5 (Scheduled for release in early 2025) or later.
Auto Framing function does not work with the AW-UE160 alone; Media Production Suite is required for operation.
3. CSP Control function expansion
CSP (Cyclic Synchronous Position) Control: function that allows the camera to act as the master and determine the timing of sending control commands
– In addition to the conventional Pan/Tilt, it also supports Zoom/Focus operations
– Improved Pan/Tilt accuracy
– Changed the cycle time setting range from "8ms-255ms" to "16ms-225ms"
4. The specifications of the IRIS WINDW SELECT function have been changed.
– IRIS WINDOW SELECT: "5" (Selection item that allows you to set the Auto Iris metering range as you wish)
– ZOOM MODE: "D-ZOOM"
Controls the above settings so that they are not enabled at the same time.
When set to "D-ZOOM", "5" cannot be selected.
When set to "5", selecting D-ZOOM changes the setting of IRIS WINDOW SELECT to "1".
5. The following problems have been fixed:
– Changing the Camera Title did not change the name of the NDI connected camera.
– In a specific NMOS environment, the camera could not be detected via NMOS communication.
