Pixel Power, a division of Rohde & Schwarz, is sharpening its focus on delivering seamless broadcast solutions, positioning itself as the new center of excellence for Rohde & Schwarz’s software-defined media portfolio. This move is designed to better meet the evolving needs of the broadcast industry by offering cutting-edge solutions that prioritize both efficiency and flexibility.
While Pixel Power continues to advance its Gallium automation and StreamMaster graphics and playout solutions, it now also takes charge of R&S Prismon, the network-based multiviewing and monitoring system. This shift allows the company to integrate Prismon into large-scale software architectures, aligning it with its core mission to make broadcast operations seamless.
“The broadcast industry is undergoing a transformation. While delivering great viewing experiences remains central, security as well as optimizing revenue and cost have become paramount for our customers,” said Thorsten Sauer, the newly appointed CEO of Pixel Power, a Rohde & Schwarz company. “That is what has driven this change in structure. We are making Pixel Power the center of excellence for providing flexible software solutions for mission-critical applications that work seamlessly in the ecosystem. We focus on helping our customers gain a competitive advantage by optimizing their content creation and delivery.”
With this transformation, Pixel Power is refining its approach to better serve broadcasters and media companies worldwide. The company’s agile structure allows it to be more responsive to the needs of the industry. James Gilbert, SVP of Sales and Marketing at Pixel Power, highlighted the enduring trust in the brand: “For more than 35 years, Pixel Power has been a widely recognized and trusted name in media. Broadcasters around the globe rely on our software in mission-critical applications every day. That doesn’t change, but now all software teams work under one roof with direct access to solution architects. This streamlined structure improves our ability to deliver superior customer experiences and innovative software solutions.”
By uniting its teams under one umbrella, Pixel Power is set to be more agile and in tune with industry demands. “We are more responsive to our customers’ needs because we are close to the challenges they face,” Gilbert continued. “Our development and delivery teams are constantly driven to adopt the latest technologies to optimize quality, efficiency, and security.”
This strategic move also leverages the global stability and resources of Rohde & Schwarz, allowing Pixel Power to combine the agility of a focused team with the strength of a leading technology corporation.
