At next week’s NAB Show in Las Vegas, worldwide industry-leading manufacturer FOR-A will showcase its new MFR-6000 SD/HD/3G/6G/12G routing switcher. Offering 12G-SDI compatibility across a matrix of up to 144 inputs and 144 outputs, the MFR-6000 brings powerful support to 4K and 8K routing. The MFR-6000 is one of the many new solutions that FOR-A will unveil at NAB in booth C5117.

Building on the success of FOR-A’s MFR series of routers, the MFR-6000 offers users outstanding redundancy with easy maintenance. With its 12G-SDI support, the new MFR-6000 enables 4K signals to be carried over a single cable, resulting in less space needed for equipment and easier setup. The MFR-6000 routing switcher enables matrices of 144 x 144 inputs and outputs and supports versatile signal formats, including 12G/6G/3G/HD/SD-SDI and DVB-ASI. The MFR-6000 provides automatic signal detection, so there’s no need for users to worry about what signals are supplied. The MFR-6000’s built-in web server enables immediate setup without installing software on external devices.
FOR-A’s MFR-6000 offers fully redundant power and control, and can be integrated into an SNMP monitoring system. SNMP monitoring enables monitoring of operational states, such as power, fan, and CPU status, SDI signal input or output, and crosspoint errors.
The MFR routing switchers offer integrated management with other FOR-A devices, including the routers’ capability to automatically send source name signals to FOR-A video switchers and multi viewers. Tally signals can automatically be relayed from FOR-A’s video switchers to its routing switchers and multi viewers for coordinated display, and users can take advantage of source point control from both FOR-A’s video switchers and MFR routing switchers.
