Sony announced roadmap for newest CineAlta digital camera BURANO. First firmware update Ver.1.1 will be available from August-September 2024.

Addition of the S700 Protocol over Ethernet (realizes S700P over TCP/IP) support allowing remote control of Sony’s camera

Addition of 1.5x setting to De-squeeze function for anamorphic lenses

Support for Multi Matrix Indicator

Some improvements will be available for BURANO’s owners later

4:3 aspect imager scan modes

Addition of 1.8x setting to De-squeeze function for anamorphic lenses

Update of HDMI output to avoid overlap of camera status information with monitoring image
