Zylight, a leading manufacturer of innovative, premium LED lighting solutions, will take wireless lighting control to the next level when it introduces the ZyLink Bridge at the 2016 NAB Show (Booth 5049), which runs April 18-21 in Las Vegas, Nev. It works in conjunction with the new ZyLink App to allow precise lighting adjustments for multiple Zylights through an iPhone or iPad.
The ZyLink Bridge is a lightweight, wireless fob that allows the ZyLink App for iOS devices to communicate with the integrated ZyLink wireless control found in most Zylight fixtures. There are no routers required and no networks to configure. Simply turn on the lights, select one of the 10 ZyLink wireless channels, and take control with the ZyLink App.
Designed with an intuitive user interface, the ZyLink App provides easy access to brightness and white light temperature controls, plus color and saturation adjustments for the IS3, IS3c, Z90, and other models equipped with Color Mode. It also includes four effects – crossfade, strobe, police, and flame – that can be adjusted to match the needs of a particular scene, as well as presets to save repeated lighting assignments.
“The ZyLink Bridge was the next logical step for our remote control technology,” explained Joe Arnao, president of Zylight. “Lighting professionals have never had this level of wireless control on the set. Now, instead of climbing ladders and swapping gels, DPs and lighting designers can sit in front of a reference monitor and use the ZyLink App to adjust individual fixtures or groups of lights.”
ZyLink Bridge will be available April 1. The ZyLink App is available for free at the App Store.
