Triofilm TV will be the first German customer to implement EVS’ XT3 live production server with its latest features, including 12 HD/SD live rec/play channels and 10GigE network capabilities. Triofilm TV will incorporate the industry-leading live production servers alongside EVS’ MultiReview tool into its fleet of outside broadcast trucks.
Triofilm TV will install three 6RU and two 4RU XT3 servers, which feature a 12 and eight HD/SD channel capacity, respectively. With this server configuration, Triofilm TV’s workflow will be able to handle up to 52 live channels running simultaneously during a production. To support this, the network will also be installed with a 10GigE network.
“At Triofilm TV we want to ensure that we’re providing our customers with industry-leading tools to do the best job possible. That’s why we were one the first German companies to invest in the XT series and why we’re the first to invest in this latest XT3 featuring advanced channel configuration,” said Uwe Beier, managing director of Triofilm TV.
Along with this server install, the facilities company will also implement a new EVS MultiReview search and review tool. This extends the capabilities of the production team and will let Triofilm TV view multiple input or output feeds at the same time from a single display.
Following the agreement at IBC2015, the new EVS technology will be installed in Triofilm TV’s OB facilities by the end of this year. These facilities will be utilised at a number of live local sporting events.
“We’ve got complete trust in EVS equipment, that’s why we’ve continued our relationship for over a decade,” continued Beier. “Installing these tools into our OB trucks enable us to do our jobs faster and more efficiently while still providing the high level of service expected by our customers.”
