Panasonic has announced plans for a 4K studio camera the AK-UC3000 4K system, set for release in Winter 2015. Panasonic is the latest camera manufacturer to launch a B4 mount 4K camera designed for outside broadcast use, after Sony and Grass Valley revealed similar plans at the weekend.
Panasonic's AK-UC3000 studio handy camera has a sensor outputting UHD up to 3840x2160/60p and a B4 mount. It also offers shockless gain (-6~36dB), a user gamma setting, Black Gamma correction tracking pedestal, and multi-step digital noise reduction.
“We are very excited by the innovations that we are showcasing in Las Vegas,” said André Meterian, director of Panasonic’s broadcast business in Europe, Russia and CIS. “This allows us, for the first time, to offer a full line up of 4K products right through from cinema to studio. This really sets us apart from the rest of the market as a supplier of end-to-end 4K solutions.”
