Sony introduced a number of new camcorders and handycams at IBC 2012. XDCAM product line was presented with models PMW-150 and PMW-200. Both cameras have Exmor CMOS sensor, which allows you to shoot high-quality video in low light conditions.
Cameras can shoot video in 1080/50i, 1080/25P, 720/50P, 720/25P or PAL resolution, and support MPEG HD422 50Mbps (MXF), MPEG HD420 35Mbps (MP4) and DVCAM (MXF, AVI) recording formats. Record can be made on SD, Memory Stick and XQD cards. Also cameras have a unique cache recording feature. Cache recording works with internal and external memory and the caching period can be adjusted by menu setting.

Also they have unique additional functions for recording HD, 2K GFHD and 4K. Both cameras support multiple codecs: the new Sony XAVC MPEG‐4 AVC/H.264 format, SR codec (MPEG4 SStP) and XDCAM 50Mbps 4:2:2. Both models record onto new Sony SxS PRO+ memory card. F55 and F5 cameras have an incredible choice of lenses. With the PL-mount adaptor, you can take advantage of cine optics from Angénieux®, Canon®, Carl Zeiss®, Cooke®, FUJIFILM®, Leica® and more.
Apart from wide range of cameras Sony launched Sound Forge Pro Mac 1.0 software. It has been exclusively developed for OS X, and its features and interface will allow you to redefine the audio editing experience.
