PHABRIX, a broadcast test & measurement innovator is pleased to announce that South Carolina-based video production company, Extreme Angles has purchased a PHABRIX Sx TAG handheld instrument. The Sx TAG is being used to quickly troubleshoot fiber and SDI video signals during live events in the southeast United States.
Extreme Angles provides speciality camera movement, broadcast equipment and live streaming services to their clients based throughout the United States, including major broadcast networks, houses of worship and corporate organizations. The company has over 15 years’ experience in the live and film production markets.
Chris Bennett, Owner at Extreme Angles, comments, “One of the key benefits of the PHABRIX Sx TAG is its versatile SFP. A lot of productions we work on involve fiber, and with the Sx TAG having the ability to both send and receive a video signal over fiber, allows us to not only test the fiber path, but also the fiber converter when needed.”
Sx TAG with its SFP, SDI and analog I/O offers incredible versatility in a handheld device. It is ideal for IP, 3G/HD/SD-SDI, optical SDI, HDMI and Analog test & measurement as well as AES eye analysis, for applications demanding true mobility and ease of use. It can also provide support for SMPTE ST 2110-20/30/40 encapsulation/decapsulation with ST 2059 PTP, SDP and NMOS as well as SMPTE ST 2022-6 encapsulation/ decapsulation, using 10GE IP SFP+ modules developed by Embrionix.
