Panasonic Unveils NDI PTZ Cameras and Switchers

Panasonic is incorporating Network Device Interface support into five of its products, including four PTZ cameras and a switcher. The cameras that now feature built-in NDI support include the AW-HN38, AW-HN40, AW-UN70 and AW-HN130, as well as the AV-HLC100 switcher.

     
     
 
NewTek Releases v3 of NDI

NewTek is ushering in the third generation of its NDI IP video technology. The new v3 provides new features, including support for multicast with forward error correction; a high efficiency mode for wireless or long distance transmission; PTZ camera control and tally; and improved encoding performance. In addition, NewTek has also collaborated with vendors for embedded NDI support for hardware devices, among them Panasonic.

     
     
 
Sound Devices unveiled MixPre Series Firmware v1.11

Sound Devices recently released MixPre Series Firmware v1.11 update for the new MixPre-3 and MixPre-6. The firmware update will provide new playback functionality as well as other system enhancements to previously released versions.

     
     
 
Sony launch HFR upgrade for PXW-FS5

Sony launch HFR upgrade for PXW-FS5 (CBKZ-FS5HFR) allowing support for continuous 120fps High Frame Rate (HFR) shooting in 1080p. With the new paid license, users of the Sony PXW-FS5 will enable recording 120 frames per second super-slow motion in camera in Full HD. The flagship PXW-FS5 4K camera is currently limited to 1080/50/60 continuous slow-motion in camera.

TOT Chooses ATEME to Deliver 4K-UHD Contribution Channels Over IP

ATEME today announced that TOT (Telephone Organization of Thailand), a leading telecommunications service provider in Thailand, has deployed its Kyrion encoders and decoders to deliver nine 4K-UHD contribution channels over IP. ATEME has already been covering a large part of TOT’s network, but this is the first time the company has used ATEME’s 4K-UHD contribution technology to add value to its primary distribution offer. It gives TOT a distinct advantage: delivering the highest video quality at extremely low latency of 130ms.

Timecode Systems unveiled new firmware update 4.27

NEP Australia Chooses Sony for IP Remote Production

NEP Australia has chosen Sony HDC-4300 cameras, Sony XVS-6000 and XVS-8000 IP-capable, SMPTE ST 2110 ready switchers, as well as a wide range of Sony OLED and LCD monitors, for its new, unique IP-based remote production solution. NEP’s new Andrews Hubs, the first of their kind in Australia, will connect 29 sporting venues via a new high bandwidth network. Four new all-IP outside broadcast trucks and seven legacy SDI trucks with new IP layers will complement the two production hubs, which are located in Sydney and Melbourne.
