Glensound BEATRICE R8 won two Best of Show Awards at NAB 2018

At the NAB Show 2018 Glensound BEATRICE R8 won two Best of Show Awards by ProSoundNews and TVTechnology. BEATRICE R8 is a 1RU rackmount 8-channel intercom system with Dante/AES67 network interface.

     
     
 
NEP UK unveils 2110-compliant broadcast vehicles

NEP UK has announced its two newest OB vehicles have been built to be compliant with SMPTE 2110 standard. Both of the vehicles, named Venus and Ceres, have been built with Grass Valley (formerly SAM) IQ UCP 25GbE Gateway cards, which provide two-way links between the the IP-based equipment and the existing baseband technology that is still needed to accommodate clients using SDI feeds. The trucks can also offer dual level UHD and HDI-SDI simultaneously.

Bluebell Opticom Ltd has been awarded an Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) for its SDI-over-fibre technology, at the 69th annual ceremony. France Televisions To Install Panasonic UHD Cameras

SMPTE Presents New SMPTE ST 2110-40 Document

SMPTE has presented its new SMPTE ST 2110-40 document that extends the SMPTE ST 2110 Professional Media Over Managed IP Networks standards suite. The new document maps ancillary data packets (as defined in SMPTE ST 291-1) into Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) packets that are transported via User Data Protocol/Internet Protocol (UDP/IP), and enables those packets to be moved synchronously with associated video and audio essence streams.
