K-Tek Stingray HeatBlock transmitter pouches and HeatBlock Pieces

Wireless microphone transmitters have increasingly gotten smaller and smaller, but this reduction in size has come at a cost more heat. K-Tek has a new way to protect talent from heat produced by wireless microphone transmitters worn on set. This comes in the form of the K-Tek Stingray HeatBlock transmitter pouches and HeatBlock Pieces handy swatches of the same fabric, to try and counteract this problem.

     
     
 
Cinegy Introduced Air 12.0

Cinegy introduced Cinegy Air PRO 12 broadcast automation and real-time, multi-channel video playout software for SD, HD and/or Ultra HD (4K) playout in a single, integrated suite further fortifying Cinegys claim of truly delivering Software Defined Television. Major customer-led improvements for Cinegy Air PRO 12 include a new cloud and VM-ready software licensing and deployment system; full support for the ultra-fast DANIEL2 GPU codec; the support of additional IP video standards adding SMPTE 2022-6 and NewTeks NDI; and most importantly adding HDR functionality.

     
     
 
ChyronHego Releases PRIME Graphics 3.0

ChyronHego has released the latest version of its universal graphics platform. PRIME Graphics 3.0 stacks an array of diverse applications into a single design and playout solution. The advanced 3D graphics authoring and playout solution from ChyronHego has been enhanced with support for the newly adopted SMPTE ST 2110 standard and with HDR-enabled 16-bit colour, which allows the platform to deliver 10-bit HDR output in the customer's choice of HLG or S-Log3 formats.

     
     
 
BRIO Gets A Boost With New Expansion Packs

Calrec Audio is giving its Brio audio console a boost in channel count. New expansion packs are now available that increase the Brio12 DSP count from 48 to 64 input channels and the Brio36 from 64 to 96 input channels.

     
     
 
Actus Digitals solution powered in South Australian Parliament

South Australian Parliament Chooses Actus Digital For Video Clips. System can record video streams, monitor content and create, edit and distribute clips. Journalists, members of the South Australian Parliament and their assistants have been required to be able to monitor sessions of parliament, search or create video clips. ProSiebenSat.1 launches ultra-HD broadcasting

German-based media company ProSiebenSat.1 Group is set to start broadcasting in 4K UHD and HDR formats from late summer 2018. The company will broadcast the first episodes of Galileo Spezial and Rosins Restaurants in the ultra-high resolution UHD (4K) format with HDR. Viewers will be able to access the UHD content on ProSiebenSat.1's linear channels as well as its digital offerings.

New Features and Capabilities to the Sony VENICE Full-Frame Motion Picture Camera System

Sony is announcing new updates and developments for its VENICE CineAlta motion picture camera system including version 2 firmware, which has been advanced and will now be available in the beginning of July 2018. Version 2 Firmware Includes Dual Base High ISO 2500, Variable Frame Rates; and Optional Upgrade to Support High Frame Rate. Sony is announcing the development of its new VENICE Extension System designed for expanded flexibility and enhanced ergonomics.

     
     
 
Fujinon unveiled OptMag TL-OMFF Super-35 image circle expander

Fujinon has announced the OptMag TL-OMFF, an optical adaptor that expands the Super-35 image circle of PL Mount lenses on Full Frame sensor cameras without vignetting. The OptMag TL-OMFF has been developed specifically for use with Fujinons Premier and Cabrio PL-mount lenses. Its unclear whether it will work on other PL lenses.
