Sony FX6 to be announced on the 17th November

The much anticipated Sony FX6 will be officially announced on Tuesday the 17th of November. We dont have any official details about the specifications or features of the new FX6. It will be interesting to see just how it compares to not only the FX9 and a7SIII, but also against other competing cameras such as the Canon C70.

     
     
 
ATEME and The Explorers to Launch the First OTT Channel Promoting VVC

ATEME, the leader in video delivery solutions for Broadcast, Cable TV, DTH, IPTV and OTT, and The Explorers, a collaborative global media platform, announced launching, the first OTT live channel which promotes the beauty of the worlds landscapes via the next gen codec, VVC. MPEG-5 LCEVC Standard Achieves MPEG/ISO Final Draft Status

V-Nova has announced completion of the MPEG-5 Part 2 Low Complexity Enhancement Video Coding (LCEVC) standard, which enhances the compression efficiency of any future or existing video compression scheme, including AVC, HEVC, AV1, EVC and VVC.

     
     
 
CTV invests in PHABRIX Qx and Sx for new ST2110 OB truck and IP workflows for The European Golf Tour

CTV, a leading provider of OB trucks and facilities, selected PHABRIXs Qx advanced rasterizer to provide future-proofed test and measurement for IP-based workflows, including the companys brand new OB12 32 camera truck which is currently being used on The European Golf Tour. CTV also invested in a Sx TAG handheld hybrid IP/SDI unit with ST2110 and ST2022 10GbE options for use with flypack systems.

     
     
 
Mobile TV Group 47 FLEX OB truck powered by Calrec

Mobile TV Group is launching its third FLEX mobile unit, which like its predecessors is fully equipped with Calrec technology for its audio setup. The 47 FLEX unit is stocked with Calrecs Artemis digital audio console, with audio-over-IP capabilities via Calrecs H2-IP Gateway system. UEFA uses TVU Networks for the Live UEFA 2020/21 Champions League Group-Stage Draw

Ateme completes acquisition of Anevia

Ateme has completed its acquisition of Anevia, purchasing 87 per cent of the OTT and IPTV software provider. Ateme announced in July that it has entered into negotiations to take control of Anevia, stating that the transaction had the prior unanimous support of the boards of directors of both companies.

     
     
 
Dalet Galaxy xCloud will support France Televisions remote workflows

Dalet, provider of solutions and services for broadcasters and content professionals, has announced that France Televisions has subscribed to Dalet Galaxy xCloud to enable critical news workflows from home when needed. Hosted by Dalet, the SaaS-based offering is a full-featured version of the latest Dalet Galaxy five platform that leverages the cloud to facilitate end-to-end, remote news production workflows. Once fully rolled-out, Dalet Galaxy xCloud gives France Televisions the flexibility to support the remote work requirements of its 300 plus journalists.

     
     
 
Calrec Audio over IP Training Course

Calrec has expanded the scope of its recently launched Sound Institute with the rollout of its new Audio over IP (AoIP) Training Course. This provides a comprehensive understanding of AoIP, from basic concepts to advanced practices. The first four of seven online AoIP training sessions are now available and are delivered by the companys IP Network Specialist Dave Sampson.
