ATEME, a global leader in video compression solutions for broadcast, has announced that Cellnex Telecom has deployed ATEME’s Titan File multi-codec and multi-format video transcoding software in its Spanish operation. The solution was supplied by TmediaT, an ATEME partner, and is designed for bandwidth-efficient content transcoding up to 4K.

Timecode Systems today announced that it has been chosen as the sole supplier of timecode and sync products to Procam, one of the UK's largest digital cinematography and broadcast hire facility. When Ireland’s national broadcaster, Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ), decided the time had come to replace the aging intercom structure at its Dublin broadcast center, they chose a tender from Broadcast Video Services (BVS) of Loughlinstown, County Dublin, which recommended the RTS system for the upgrade.

LYNX Technik AG announced that it enhanced its yellobrik series with three new single link SDI 12G capable modules. A fiber transmitter (OTX 1410), fiber receiver (ORX 1400) and fiber transceiver (OTR 1410).

FOR-A Corporation of America will show an expansion of its popular 1 M/E HVS-100 video switcher series at the 2017 NAB SHOW. FOR-A will introduce the cost-effective HVS-100 Express during the show. HVS-100 Express is controlled via any tablet, handheld or laptop type device with a web browser as opposed to a ‘hard’ control panel.

Ooredoo has launched the first 4K TV channels in the Middle East using a next-generation Electra video compression solution for all-IP environments. Ooredoo’s new multiscreen channels — called FunBox UHD and C4K360 — offer a combination of 24/7 programming, including live TV, time-shift TV and video-on-demand (VOD) content.
