Ikegami Electronics (Europe) has chosen Leader's LV5600 broadcast-quality waveform monitor for integration into the technical facilities at its headquarters in Neuss. The new instrument is equipped with a 25G-SDI interface and will used be both for routine test and measurement and to demonstrate Ikegami's latest UHD cameras as well as the company's established range of HD-SDR and HD-HDR models.

For-A has announced that Mobile TV Group over the last year has added four FVW-700 telestrators to its fleet of live production trucks. Mobile TV Group is a provider of live production services, helping out with sports broadcasts for the NBA, NHL and MLB, as well as other types of projects. The FVW-700 helps deliver engaging sports content.

Panasonic released Ver. 4.03 for the CX350, adding control from the AW-RP150, a touchscreen remote camera controller that contains a unique one-hand operation joystick and a large LCD screen for monitoring and menu settings. Originally designed for Panasonic Pro PTZ cameras, the AW-RP150 allows a production to control the CX350 and Panasonic PTZ cameras for large multicam TV broadcasts and livestreams events, including HOW, Staging and Live events.

Panasonic Corporation has announced the release of the AK-HC3900GJ / HC3900GSJ HD Studio Camera. The camera is fitted with a large image sensor for high sensitivity and video quality, excels in terms of cost effectiveness, and is scheduled for release in November 2020.

Dubai-based cine and production equipment rental company Action Filmz invested in the MENA region’s first Fujinon Premista large-format zoom lens. The Fujinon Premista 28-100 T2.9 has been rented out on well over 30 productions over the past 10 months. This initial investment has now been expanded to include the Fujinon Premista 80-250 T2.9-3.5.

As part of its 132nd meeting, MPEG has announced it has completed a verification test assessment of the new Versatile Video Coding (VVC) standard for ultra-high definition (UHD) content with standard dynamic range. According to the organisation, showed that VVC “provides a compelling gain over its predecessor, the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard produced in 2013.” The test found that VVC made bitrate savings of roughly 45 per cent compared to HEVC for comparable subjective video quality.

Along with announcing the FX6, Sony has also officially unveiled the Sony FE C 16-35mm T3.1 G Cinema Lens which they have been teasing for quite some time. We first saw this lens being announced as a development product way back in September 2019. This is the first of three new Cinema Lenses that Sony will be making, however, the focal ranges and details of the other two lenses are unknown at this stage.
