Ateme powers the first UHD VR experience for Super Bowl LI

Atemes advanced video compression technology is used for the VR near-live coverage in Ultra High Definition (UHD) of Sundays ultimate football showdown between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons, in partnership with Fox Sports and LiveLike. Altogether, theyre teaming up to offer a virtual and interactive lounge during the game that presents highlights from the game in near real-time via the Fox Sports VR app for iOS and Android devices. Thus, each viewer equipped with VR handset can experience the game in the same way as sit in a VIP lounge in the stadium.

     
     
 
Sonys RM-IP500 Remote Controller delivers greater flexibility and easier operation of PTZ cameras

Sony unveiled new Remote Controller for remote operation of PTZ cameras. RM-IP500 gives operators easier and more intuitive control of its latest pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras in event production and broadcast. New model enables cost-effective system configuration, allowing single-operator control of up to 100 cameras, memory recall, and PTZ speed adjustments.

BBC Studioworks future-proofs Television Centre with investment in Sony 4K over IP

BBC Studioworks announced it has chosen Sony to deliver 4K over IP in its Television Centre studios at the newly refurbished White City site in Central London.
