TV3 Catalonia Upgrades Production With Leader LV7300

Catalonia's public broadcaster Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation (Corporacio Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals or CCMA) has selected Leader's LV7300 rasterizer as the master reference instrument as part of an upgrade to HD-HDR at its Audiovisual Production Centre in Barcelona. The CCMA's primary channel is TV3 Catalonia which is transmitted to viewers in Catalonia, Andorra and the Balearic Islands.

     
     
 
Sony's Simple Live Streaming Service Now Available

Sony has announced that its Simple Live Streaming service, a new proposition for users to streamline the process of acquiring live content, will be available from today, 12 December. The additional workflow flexibility for its palm-sized 4K HDR professional camcorders, the HXR-NX80 and PXW-Z90, can be accessed via a free firmware upgrade to enable content creators to shoot wherever and however they want.

     
     
 
Deutsche Football League tests world’s first football broadcast in 9:16

The Deutsche Football League has tested what it describes as a “world first” live football match broadcast in a mobile-first 9:16 aspect ratio, allowing fans to watch on a vertical mobile phone screen. The Bundesliga match between VfL Wolfsburg and SV Werder Bremen was produced in a 9:16 format in addition to the usual broadcast format. The DFL said it is responding to changing media usage behaviour and the increasing consumption of videos on mobile devices.

     
     
 
Lectrosonics Captures “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie”

Sky News Australia has fitted out its six remote studios throughout the country with new solutions from Vinten and Autoscript. The 24/7 multi-channel network installed state-of-the-art robotic camera support systems from Vinten and Intelligent Prompting solutions from Autoscript to reduce operational costs through centralised, IP-based control of remote broadcasts.

     
     
 
Cingularity Chooses PHABRIX

PHABRIX has supplied three Sx handheld 3G/HD/SD video/audio monitoring instruments and an Rx 2000 rasterizer to Cingularity, the media network provider, for monitoring on location at two upcoming sporting events. The women's handball world championships, taking place in Japan in November and December, and the [ATP Cup] men’s outdoor hardcourt tennis tournament held in Australia in January 2020, will both benefit from these portable yet powerful units.

     
     
 
ATEME Powers Delivery for Sth Korea’s CJ Hello

Panasonic To Ship AJ-CX4000 4K/HDR Camera By Month’s End

Panasonic will begin shipping its new AJ-CX4000 4K/HDR shoulder-mount camcorder by the end of December. The camera is equipped with a B4 lens mount and can be used with interchangeable lenses. Panasonic is targeting the camera at applications in network news, sports, blue-chip nature films and travel documentaries.
