Panasonic Announces Firmware Upgrade For AG-DVX200PJ 4K Handheld Camcorder

Panasonic has announced that a firmware upgrade for its AG-DVX200PJ 4K large-sensor, 4/3 handheld camcorder becomes available today. The Ver. 1.25 upgrade encompasses several feature improvements and additions:

     
     
 
Kuwait television's OB audio coverage evolves with Calrec Summa

Kuwait Television (KTV), Kuwait's official state-run television station and part of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information, is installing a Calrec Summa audio console in its newest and most advanced OB van. The Summa will give KTV the flexibility to cover a wider variety of programming and will be assigned to the broadcaster's most significant events. KTV's newest OB van will be deployed to cover all types of live programs, such as sport events and tournaments, live concerts, and talk shows.

Sony unveils XDCAM shoulder camcorder

Sony has announced the newest addition to its PXW series of shoulder-mount camcorders. The PXW-X400 promises stronger network and wireless capabilities, improved weight balance, and XAVC 50p recording and pool feed functions. The PXW-X400 camcorder will be available in February 2016.

NFL Franchise Deploys TVUPack for Live Streaming

TVU Networks, the global technology leader in live IP video solutions, today announced that the NFLs Carolina Panthers have partnered with TVU to deploy TVUPack wireless uplink backpack to provide HD video solutions for the Charlotte, North Carolina-based team. The Panthers deployed TVUPack to capture and transmit professional-quality video from post-game press conferences and interviews, as part their weekly Game Day wrap-up show. Woody Allen moves to digital with Sony CineAlta F65

Sony today confirmed that filmmaker Woody Allen has chosen Sony CineAlta for his first ever digital shoot. For this special project, Allen will be shooting with Sonys CineAlta F65 camera and the film will be mastered in 4K. The F65 has long been the choice among filmmakers around the world, including critically acclaimed cinematographer Vittorio Storaro, who will be working with Allen on the currently untitled film.
