Training tutorials launch Brio users off the starting blocks

Calrec has launched a series of tutorial videos to demonstrate just how easy the all-new Brio console is to use, and to help Brio owners get up to speed quickly. At under two minutes each, the films are designed to teach users how to perform fundamental operational tasks — for example, “Assigning Audio Paths to Faders” and “Connecting Inputs and Outputs.”

     
     
 
EVS earns Emmy Award for Epsio 4K zooming technology

EVS will pick up an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at the 68th Annual Technology and Engineering Awards next January during CES Las Vegas. Its Epsio Zoom gives operators the ability to broadcast every detail of live action from multiple cameras, enabling operators to zoom into a particular section of a picture and prepare engaging clips for playout during live events.

     
     
 
NewTek NDI Camera transforms mobile devices into IP Video sources

NewTek announced NewTek NDI Camera, a software application capable of turning any compatible iOS or Android mobile device into a wireless, IP-ready, live video source. Sony introduced FS7 II with electronic variable ND, locking E-mount and higher price

Sony FS7 II is an incremental upgrade of Sony’s FS lineup, and not a replacement. The previous model FS7 will continue to be sold (in body-only form) at the existing price. The sensor and image are unchanged from the original FS7. The codec choices and the autofocus system are also the same. The FS7 II will be sold as body-only, or as a kit with the new 18-110mm f4 G cine zoom. So what’s new (except price) in the new Sony's camcorder?

     
     
 
Sony expands FS Series with new FS7 II camcorder

Sony is expanding its FS Series Super 35mm professional family with the addition of the new FS7 II camcorder. The new model builds on the original FS7’s strengths by adding advanced features including Electronic Variable ND technology, a lever lock type E-mount, and a new mechanical design for faster and easier set-up. Lectrosonics introduces the PDR Personal Digital Recorder

Lectrosonics announces the introduction of a new micro digital recorder, the PDR (Personal Digital Recorder) for professional use. For situations in which the distance is extreme or where using a wireless microphone is not practical, the PDR recorder can travel with your subject and capture professional quality audio, synchronized with timecode.
