Euro Media Group (EMG) has installed 2 x Sony PWS-4500 Replay & Ingest servers as part of its plan to diversify the current offer for slow-motion and recording solutions. After being used successfully as UHD HDR Master Recorders for high end concerts and events recordings, the Sony PWS-4500 will be used in the UK based EMG Company CTV Outside Broadcast to produce upcoming events in 4K/UHD.

Phonak has increased the functionality and flexibility of the successful Roger Earpiece launched in 2016 with an unlimited range extension facility. From July 2017 it will be possible to have full coverage wherever you are, including across multiple rooms, such as from green room to main stage.

Hong Kong’s largest broadcaster, Television Broadcasts Ltd. (TVB), has invested in the flagship Kahuna multi-format live production switcher and IQ Modular infrastructure for its first UHD outside broadcast vehicle. The unit replaces an old SD truck and will be used to support a mix of HD and UHD broadcasts, in particular the coverage of international events.

Cinegy announced that OE24 TV, Austria’s first 24/7 online news channel, has installed eleven of Cinegy’s JET Pack all-in-one live production and playout packages. OE24 TV is a daily, national newspaper in Austria that now offers a live, 24-hour online news channel covering everything from current politics to popular Austrian society events.

Sound Devices announces that its Wingman remote control application is now available for Android users. The Wingman app, which originally launched for iOS devices, works with both the Sound Devices 6-Series line of professional field mixer/recorders and the all-new MixPre Series of audio recorders. With Wingman, users can start and stop audio recordings, monitor meter levels, enter and edit metadata, as well as arm, disarm, and rename tracks. For the 6-Series, it also gives users touch-screen access to manage sound report information and the ability to email those sound reports (.csv files) directly from an Android or iOS mobile device.

Sony Professional Solutions Europe (PSE) has partnered with BT Sport to help the broadcaster deliver a 4K HDR end-to-end production of the UEFA Champions League Final to provide viewers with a first-class viewing experience. Sony will support a full end-to-end HDR live production of the highly-anticipated match taking place at The National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff.
