Panasonic announced the new AJ-CX4000GJ broadcast shoulder mount 4K camera recorder, which follows the handheld-type AG-CX350 as the new “CX” Series lineup of 4K camera recorders. Able to record high quality images supporting 4K and HDR with high-efficiency 10-bit HEVC CODEC the new Panasonic AJ-CX4000GJ will be launched in December 2019.

At IBC 2019 in Amsterdam, Sony introduced a new full-frame E-mount, 16-35mm lens (FE C 16-35mm T3.1 G) to accompany the newly announced FX9 full-frame camera. The lens offers high optical performance, reliable operability and intelligent shooting functions for cinematographers. It is compatible with the full range of Sony’s E-mount cameras – from Alpha interchangeable lens cameras to the VENICE digital cinema camera – bringing, according to Sony, “unprecedented creative flexibility for all content creators”. Sony also announced their intention to expand the FE C Cinema Lens line-up going forward.

RTW has introduced the latest version of its acclaimed TouchMonitor TM7 and TM9. The new audio meters with I/O cards are enabled for connecting with Ravenna or AES67-based IP Audio networks right out of the box.

Sony has unveiled its new flagship camcorder, the PXW-FX9, the company’s first XDCAM camera to feature an advanced 6K Full-Frame sensor and Fast Hybrid Auto Focus (AF) system. The FX9 builds upon the PXW-FS7 and PXW-FS7M2, combining high mobility with an advanced AF system, high-quality bokeh and slow-motion capabilities thanks to its newly developed sensor. The model also inherits its colour science and Dual Base ISO 800/4000 from the VENICE digital cinema camera.

At IBC 2019 AJA Video Systems introduced the FS-Mini, a new broadcast quality utility frame sync that packs the production-proven functionality and all of the reliability of AJA’s leading FS frame sync technology into a portable Mini-Converter. FS-Mini supports frame synchronization and up, down, cross-conversion of untimed 3G-SDI, HD and SD video signals.

AJA Video Systems unveiled KUMO 6464-12G, a new SDI router featuring 64x 12G-SDI inputs and 64x 12G-SDI outputs for high quality, cost-effective signal routing. KUMO 6464-12G suits a range of broadcast, production, post, and proAV environments and allows professionals to take advantage of the scalability, security, and increased bandwidth that 12G-SDI provides.

FUJIFILM has launched the LTO Ultrium8 Data Cartridge (LTO-8). The LTO-8 will allow for backup and archive of large-capacity data.

LYNX Technik, provider of modular signal processing interfaces announces its new 8K yellobrik fiber transmission solution, which will be shown at IBC 2019, stand 8.C65. This new yellobrik supports uncompressed video at full 7680×4320 50/59.94/60 Hz resolutions with zero delay and complements LYNX Technik’s existing 4K transmission solutions, the OTR 1442 and OTR 1441.
